Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 17, 2018

We understand that renting or leasing stables, barns, stalls and/or other real property online involves a great deal of trust on your part and we respect your privacy. We take this trust very seriously, and make it a priority to ensure the security and confidentiality of the personal information you provide to us.

Please review this Privacy Policy, which describes the types of information we collect from and about you when you visit the Stallerapp.com web site or web app (jointly “Website” or “Site”). This Privacy Policy also explains how we may use and disclose such information, as well as your ability to control certain uses of it.

The term "you" herein refers to the users using the Site to look for properties to rent, members who list their stables, barns, stalls and/or other properties for rent on the Site; and all other users who use software, other tools, or services we provide, and/or otherwise use or access the Site.

We use information collected about you as explained in this Privacy Policy. The Site may contain links to third parties' websites. We're not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites. The Site may also contain links to terms and conditions and privacy policies of third party providers who provide tools or services on a Site. Therefore, please read carefully any privacy policies on those links or websites before either agreeing to their terms or using those tools, services or websites.

By providing information to us when listing a property, searching for a property, using any tool or service on the Site or otherwise using the Site, you expressly agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date set forth above and applies from that date.  We may occasionally amend this Privacy Policy to reflect regulatory requirements, advances in technology, Site updates and changes in our information collection and disclosure practices. Any new policy will automatically be effective when it is published on the Site. You should therefore return here regularly to view our most up to date Privacy Policy. You should also print a copy for your records.

By visiting the Site, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.  If you do not, please do not use the Site.

What Personal Information We Collect

In General

We receive and store any information you enter on our Site or give us in any other way. This includes information that can identify you ("personal information"), including your first and last name, telephone number, postal and e-mail addresses, method of payment and billing information (such as credit card number, cardholder name, and expiration date). We also may request information about your rental preferences. You can choose not to provide information to us, but in general some information about you is required in order for you to register as a member, view and/or post listings, submit and/or book a reservation, or initiate other transactions on the Site.

Staller is a global business.  As a result, personal data contributed by or collected from users may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which we or our agents maintain facilities.  By using our Site, you acknowledge and agree that you may be transferring your personal data outside of the country in which you have contributed it (“your country”), and that you consent to any transfer of information outside of your country.

We do not knowingly collect or process data from anyone under the age of eighteen (18) years old.

We may obtain information about you from other independent third-party sources, including social networks that you use to connect with us.  This information may include name, user name, demographic information, updated address or contact information, interests, and publicly-observed data, such as from social media and online activity.

Combination of Information

We may combine the information we receive from and about you, including information you provide to us and information we automatically collect through our Site, as well as information collected from other online sources or from third party sources.

We may automatically collect some information about your computer or device when you visit the Site. For example, we may collect your IP address, Web browser software, and referring website. We also may collect information about your online activity and use of the Site, such as properties viewed, bookings or reservations sent, leases made, the areas or pages of the Site that you visit, the amount of time you spend viewing or using the Site, the number of times you return to the Site, and other click-stream or site usage data. One of our goals in collecting this automatic information is to help customize your user experience.  If you provide us with your email address or phone number, you agree to receive emails to that email address or text messages to that phone number, as the case may be. We may use your contact information to send you information about our Site and services, to market to you, and to help prevent spam, fraud, or abuse.

When you access the Site from a mobile device, we may receive, store and process different types of information about your location, including general information (e.g. IP address, zip code) and more specific information (e.g. GPS-based functionality on mobile devices used to access the Site or specific features of the Site). If you access the Site through a mobile device and you do not want your device to provide us with location-tracking information, you can disable the GPS or other location-tracking functions on your device, provided your device allows you to do this. See your device manufacturer’s instructions for further details.

Cookies and Other Web Technologies

We may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, log files, or other technologies to collect certain information about visitors to our Site and interactions with our emails, and to allow us to keep track of analytics and certain statistical information that enables us to improve the Site and provide you with more relevant content on the Site and advertise our services to you on the Site and third parties’ websites. For instance, whenever you sign in as a member, we record your member ID and the name on your member account in the cookie file assigned to your computer. We also may record your password in this cookie file.

Tracking Options and Do Not Track Disclosures

Certain parts of the Site require cookies. You are free to set your browser or operating system settings to limit certain tracking or to decline cookies, but by doing so, you may not be able to access some of the tools or features we offer.  Please refer to your Web browser’s or operating system’s website or “Help” section for more information on how to delete and/or disable your browser or operating system from receiving cookies or controlling your tracking preferences.

Information Collected by Third-Party Advertising Companies

Third-party advertisers, such as Google and Facebook and those we may use to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet, may use cookies and other technologies (such as Web beacons or single-pixel GIFS) for several purposes, including: to measure the effectiveness of their ads; to analyze, modify, and personalize advertising content on the Site and other sites; and to provide ads (including retargeting ads) about goods and services we hope will be of interest to you. We do not have access to or control over cookies or other features they may use, and the information practices of these advertisers are not covered by this Privacy Policy. For information about opting out of third party cookies, you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative website.

If you provide your email address to Staller, you agree to allow us to add your email to our database of users. You may receive one or more promotional emails either from us or one our affiliates. You are welcome to opt not to receive these promotional messages. How We May Disclose and Share Your Information

We may disclose your personal data to enforce our policies, or where we are permitted to do so by applicable law, such as in response to a request by a law enforcement or governmental authority, or in connection with actual or proposed litigation, or to protect our property, people and other rights or interests.

We also may share your information in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale.  Should such corporate transaction occur, we will use reasonable efforts to try to require that the transferee use personal information provided through this Site in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. Similarly, your personal information may be passed on to a successor in interest in the unlikely event of a liquidation, bankruptcy, or administration. Our customer database could be sold separately from the rest of the business, in whole or in a number of parts.  It could be that the purchaser's business is different from ours, too.

We also may share aggregate or anonymous information with third parties, including advertisers and investors. For example, we may tell our advertisers the number of visitors the Site receives or what are the most popular types of properties and destinations, locations or geography. Inquiries and other Electronic Communications

Tenants and Property Owners may communicate with each other via tools on the Site. If you choose to send an inquiry through these links, some of your personal information, including your email address and any other information you supply may be visible to the member in question so that they might reply directly to you. Your details may also be sent to us and we may have access to those communications even if you contact the member directly. We may monitor the communications for trust and security purposes. Additionally, those inquiries, communications and messages may be hosted on, be processed by or transmitted through our servers. If you engage in such communications, do not disclose or share financial, confidential and/or proprietary information, including, but not limited to, credit card and bank account information. We may also from time to time, use third party e-mail servers to send and track receipt of such communications, and analyze the pattern of such communications for trust and security purposes as well as to gather data, such as inquiry and booking data (on an anonymous basis), to assist us in better understanding our business.

How You Can Access and Update Your Personal Information

You may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information by editing the relevant part of their profile or by contacting us. If you would like us to cancel your Staller Account and delete your Personal Information, please contact us and we will attempt to accommodate your request if we do not have any legal obligation or a legitimate business reason to retain the information contained in your Staller Account. Please note that, if you cancel your Staller Account, any reviews you have posted will still remain publicly viewable.

Your Choices Regarding the Use of Your Information

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, or if you prefer to “opt out” of having information used for purposes not directly related to listings, bookings, or processing of a property rental, you may contact us at any time. As discussed, you can choose not to provide us with certain information, although it may be needed to make a stable, barn, stall and/or other property listing, booking and/or lease, or to contact our suppliers or take advantage of certain features offered on the Site.

How We Secure Your Personal Information

We want you to feel confident about using Staller to rent or lease stables, barns, stalls and/or other properties, so we have implemented reasonable administrative, technical, and security procedures to help protect the personal information you provide to us. While we make every effort to help ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee our security measures.

Additionally, it remains your responsibility:

To protect against unauthorized access to your use of the Site;

To log off or exit from the Site when not using it;

Where relevant, to keep your password or other access information secret.  Your password and log in details are personal to you and should not be given to anyone else or used to provide shared access for example over a network; and

To maintain good internet security. For example, if your email account is compromised, it could be used to ask us to reset a password and gain access to your account with us. You should keep all of your account details secure.  If you think that any of your accounts has been compromised, you should change your account credentials with us, and in particular, make sure any compromised account does not allow access to your account with us.  You should also tell us as soon as you can, so that we can try to help you keep your account secure and if necessary warn anyone else who could be affected.

If you have asked us to share data with third party sites, however (such as Facebook) their servers may not be secure. Credit card information is generally stored by our credit card processing partners and we ask them to keep that data secure.  We also use third parties to help us optimize our website flow, content and advertising.

Note that, despite the measures taken by us and the third parties we engage, the Internet is not secure.  As a result, others may nevertheless unlawfully intercept or access private transmissions or data.

Phishing or False Emails

If you receive an unsolicited email that appears to be from us or one of our members that requests personal information (such as your credit card, login, or password), or that asks you to verify or confirm your account or other personal information by clicking on a link, that email was likely to have been sent by someone trying to unlawfully obtain your information, sometimes referred to as a "phisher" or "spoofer." We do not ask for this type of information in an email. Do not provide the information or click on the link.  Please contact us if you get an email like this.

Public Forums

Any information you may disclose on the Site, in listings, reviews, or on other public areas on the Site or other third-party websites that this Site may link to, becomes public information. Please exercise caution when disclosing personal information in these public areas.
